Privacy policy

Atelier is a component catalog and design studio operated by nheek. This policy explains what we collect when you browse the public site, create an account, save custom themes, or use the community catalog.

Most of the site works without signing in. Accounts are optional and mainly used for the theme maker, saved theme library, and catalog publishing.

• Account data: email address, optional display name, and a hashed password when you register.
• Saved themes: theme names, palette and shape choices, recipe base selections, and related draft JSON you store in the theme maker or My themes library.
• Community catalog: if you publish a theme, we store the published copy, optional catalog blurb, and engagement counters such as views, likes, and copies. Other signed-in users can browse and fork published themes.
• Security and sessions: session identifiers, sign-in times, IP address, user agent, and basic device or browser metadata used to keep accounts secure and to support sign-out across devices.
• Support and abuse prevention: request metadata processed through rate limits on auth, theme writes, and catalog actions to protect the service.

Browsing component docs, Studio, Showcase, and downloading registry source files does not require an account. Atelier accounts are free and we do not collect payment details on this site.

Custom theme drafts are design configuration data, not end-user diary or production app content from other nheek products.

Atelier uses an essential HTTP-only session cookie (atelier_token) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on the catalog site.

• Provide docs, Studio, theme maker, saved themes, and community catalog features.
• Authenticate you and protect accounts from abuse.
• Show attribution and engagement stats on published catalog themes.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• Meet legal obligations when required.

We do not sell personal data.

Where applicable, we rely on contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and product improvement), consent where required (certain optional cookies), and legal obligation.

We keep account and theme data while your account is active. Soft-deleted themes remain in trash until you permanently delete them or restore them. Session records expire and are revoked according to our session policy.

We may retain limited records longer when needed for security, backups, or legal compliance.

When signed in, you can update your display name and password from Studio account settings, manage saved themes in My themes, restore or permanently delete themes from trash, and sign out of active sessions.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise those rights, email [email protected]. We respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to verify your account.

Atelier is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required where you live). Do not create an account if you are below that age.

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
