Terms and conditions

Last updated · June 4, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an Atelier account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use account features. Public browsing and component downloads remain available without accepting an account contract.

2. The service

Atelier is operated by nheek and provides a component catalog with live previews, downloadable registry source, theme reference docs, client Studio walkthroughs, a Fieldnote showcase, a theme maker, a saved theme library, and an optional community catalog where users can publish and copy themes.

Features may change as the product evolves. We aim to describe capabilities honestly in the docs and on this site.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. Use a strong password and sign out on shared devices.

You must provide accurate account information and be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

4. Your themes and catalog content

You keep ownership of custom themes you create. You grant Atelier the limited rights needed to store, back up, preview, and sync your drafts so the theme maker and My themes library work.

If you publish a theme to the community catalog, you grant other signed-in users the right to view and copy that theme into their own library, including attribution stored with the copy. Do not publish themes, names, or blurbs you do not have rights to share.

Removing a theme from the catalog or deleting your account may not instantly remove copies already saved by other users.

5. Component source

Registry components are provided as source files for you to copy into your own projects. You are responsible for how you use, modify, test, and ship that code in your applications.

Component source is offered as-is without warranty. Previews and docs show representative behavior, but you should verify accessibility, security, and fit for your product before shipping.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Atelier for unlawful purposes or to harass others.
  • Attempt to access another person's account or private theme drafts.
  • Probe, disrupt, or abuse APIs, rate limits, or infrastructure.
  • Publish catalog themes or blurbs that infringe rights or contain malware instructions.
  • Misrepresent Atelier previews as live customer data from other nheek products.

7. Showcase and Studio previews

Fieldnote showcase pages and Studio room previews use sample layouts and fictional data. They are design walkthroughs, not production accounts for other nheek products unless clearly labeled otherwise.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. By using account features, you also acknowledge that policy.

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may update these terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

10. Disclaimer and liability

Atelier is provided on an "as is" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free previews, or that downloaded components will meet every production requirement without review on your side.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Atelier accounts are free, so that amount is typically zero.

11. Termination

You may stop using Atelier at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk. You can delete saved themes from My themes. For account deletion help, email [email protected].
